FAQs
Why should I trust Byteseal with my passwords?
Byteseal, unlike software only password managers, provides a hardware Biometric device as an additional security factor. This device is not connected to the internet in any way. Thus, all your Biometric data is stored in an offline secure environment.
Byteseal's system is engineered in a manner through which all the communications that happen between devices and Byteseal's systems are encrypted with military grade encryption. Thus, your passwords are never stored in the plaintext format anywhere in our systems. Only you, with your biometrics or through combination of OTP and PIN, can access your passwords.
What security measures are taken for protection of my data?
Byteseal works in a completely private network and all the communications that happens in this network are encrypted with world class military grade encryption algorithm (E.g. AES-256).In addition to this, the personal authentication device features world's most secure fingerprint sensing technology which never allows your biometric information to leave the device at any point of time.
What if my Byteseal Biometric ID is lost or stolen?
At Byteseal, we care about the integrity and confidentiality of the data of our customers more than anything else. In case the device is stolen or lost, then subject to prompt reporting by the customer, we will immediately disconnect your device from your profile so that nobody else can connect the device to your profile.
Also, all the biometric data which is stored in the device will still be secure and it will not be possible to reverse engineer it in any way.
How many fingerprints can be registered in the device?
Users can register upto 5 fingerprints in the personal authentication device. We recommend registering fingerprints of both left and right hands.
